Il King of the Ring è da sempre un torneo ricco di sorprese, spesso servito a lanciare nel panorama WWE nuove stelle emergenti. In alcuni casi sono nate star incredibili: Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brock Lesnar. In altri casi abbiamo visto solo meteore: Ken Shamrock, Billy Gunn, Don Muraco. Forse un po’ tralasciato negli ultimi anni, dal momento che da tempo non si disputa più ogni anno, ma rimane sempre un evento molto importante. Dal 2021 è nata anche la controparte femminile, inizialmente chiamata Queen’s Crown, ma poi riadattato in Queen of the Ring. Ripercorriamone la storia attraverso tutti i suoi vincitori
